We have now taken the concept of fortune cookies one step further and decided to conceal the pearl of wisdom inside a bar of soap. Not only is it a fortune soap but the soap is made from Ylang Ylang which apparently is made from exotic flowers and is sometimes used in Aromatherapy.
For those that thought they did, fortune cookies don't actually come from China. Fortune cookies were actually first made in America for Chinese restaurants. The idea of fortune cookies may however have come from 14th century Chinese soldiers who slipped messages into mooncakes to help coordinate the overthrow of Mongolian invaders.
This might even encourage the more unhygienic ones amongst us to use a bit more soap. Please also remember that this is soap, so don't try and crack it open and eat it.
The soap is Ylang Ylang and has one of nine different fortunes wrapped up inside.
