Not your average kind of globe, the Earth Constellation Globe transforms from a decorative normal looking globe during the day to a brilliant shining constellation globe at night. This can be done using a light sensor inside the globe, so once darkness falls the stars come out, just as they would in the night sky.

The globe is a beautifully detailed 21cm geographical globe constructed from high-impact water-resistant material and mounted on an elegant brass stand. By day it shows political boundaries, natural features, capitals and major cities by population. By night via the light-reactive sensor, this unique product is then transformed into an illuminated map of the stars. In the dark this astronomical globe shows stars by gradient, double stars, variable stars, nebulae and novas. The illuminated star map shows all 88 constellations recognised by the International Astronomical Union.
